Hi everyone,
First of all, a big thank you to the many people supporting us already and we kindly ask you to continue doing so, as Mission Cobblestone draws closer.
With exams finished we’re beginning our final preparation phase: Hans is already eagerly training with 30-40k every day, while Bastian is still desperately trying to repair his gear system – at the moment it seems like Mission Cobblestone is turning into a single fixed gear disaster… ahh, adventure!
Anyways, we have finalized the dates of our amazing tour. We’ll be leaving Bristol and Nottingham on the 26th June 2010 to meet up in Watford and then – with already over 200km covered – we’ll be setting off on Mission Cobblestone on 29th June, hoping to arrive in Frankfurt on 9th July.
The notorious journey will take us through England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany – through London and Brussels and past the allegedly best beer brewery in the world (Westvleteren in Belgium). We’ll be uploading photos of the tour to share our misery (enjoyment that is ;-) with you as we go along, so keep checking out the blog/facebook!!
At the moment, however, the money raised would only get us to Gillingham, as we need £2 per km to be able to help World Vision. And as much as we love Gillingham and Kent, we would be really happy to make it to Frankfurt, so please keep supporting us at www.justgiving.com/mission-cobblestone - every £2 brings us a kilometre further!!
Thanks again for the support so far and we hope that everyone has done well in exams!!
Hans and Bastian
